Our flight to Amsterdam from Chengdu went well. It was a 14 hour direct flight so we did not have to make any change ups. When we arrived in Amsterdam, we were left with our 14 items of luggage so we decided to take them to a locker and just get 2 to bring with us. We finally arrived via taxi to our houseboat at 10 pm that night. We were greeted with a goose and her babies. They were so cute. The weather was nice and crisp. We went to eat and then off to bed. Our time in Amsterdam was very relaxing. We loved the architecture and how everyone got around on bikes. It seemed like a quiet town with not very much traffic. We never heard a horn like we did in China. We walked around the area and took the bus into town. We loved being on a houseboat. It reminded alot of the Northwest. We walked to parks, took a boat tour around the canals, and relaxed. It was a nice transition before we head back to the USA. We loved the windmills and the nice climate.
