Our trip, to Khao Lak was an adventure to say the least. I think I shall explain it best in parts. So here goes, we got to Khao Lak, Wednesay morning at 3 am. Our flight was delayed in Chengdu making us arrive very late or should I say early Wednesday morning. Despite the long delay, we were happy to arrive. We had several families there from Chengdu that go to church with us so it was fun to be there. The hotel was beautiful and the skies were breathtaking!! This hotel had its own beach so it was very secluded. The kids played in the pool alot with there friends and we went seakayaking on the beach with the kids. It was great. Cohen, made us laugh because he is so determined to be a big boy. Chris first went out with Avery on the kayak and Cohen immediately was upset because he wanted to go and wear the big life jacket. He got so upset, that he tried to jump in the ocean to swim to them. I have a video and it is hilarious. Once Chris got back, he took Cohen and Rylan out (this time Cohen got to wear a big life jacket). Once they came back, Cohen was asleep! THe hotel also had a lot of activities. They had a sand castle building contest where we had to build an animal. We made a fish! We did not win but it was fun. The kids also got to see acrobat show come on the beach for Chinese New day as well as dress up in Chinese attire. We also got to take part in a Chinese lantern festival. It is very popular here. You light up a bunch of lanterns at night and let me float over the ocean. It is beautiful. Here are some pictures. Please go to our Web gallery to see all our pictures!!
