Very few people celebrate Easter here in China. Our place of worship has been shut down since Chinese New year, but the government was willing to let us meet in a hotel. We got to do that so that was fun!! A friend and I also thought it would be fun to do an Easter egg hunt in Waterfront where we live. We had asked if anyone wanted to do it before, but no one seemed interested. Come to find out that other western countries do not celebrate with easter eggs. They had never heard of it. In fact, my Swedish friend said that their Spring holiday or Easter is a time when all the witches run away?? I guess because Jesus has risen. It was very interesting. She brought a broom to symbolize their holiday. I forget the Swedish name for it. So we decided to do a Easter egg hunt, have a picnic, and face paint the kids faces. Here are some pictures. It was fun!
