Well we made it to China and have been here for almost 3 weeks now. Sorry for not being able to blog but we have had some complications with the computer and internet access. I will try to condense all that has gone on. So let me sum up the first week...it seems all that could go wrong did go wrong except for the plane trip. The flight on the plane went well, I took medicine for my nausea and it worked wonders. It was nice to only have one stop although it was a 7 hour layover but we got to stay in business class lounge so it had its perks. I almost wish we never flew business class because we got a taste of the good life!! Those days are now gone and we will be flying coach the rest of the time as we head back home and back to Chengdu. When we got to China it was 12:30 pm on Monday so it felt like 11:30 pm at night. The girls and I were exhausted and we slept 3:oo pm until 3:00 am the next morning. From then on out the girls schedule could never get back on track. The girls woke up everyday at 2:00 am and would be up for the day. It took a week to get on track again. What also didn't workout was that our apartment was not ready. The landlord said it was, but when we saw it, we had a diffference of opinion. After much talk and negotiation we were able to resolve it and get what we had initially agreed upon. The next item that was a complication, was we didn't and still do not have all our furniture. We hope to have it in the next 2 weeks as well as a driver. Not having a driver has been difficult. We sometimes borrow a driver or we take a taxi. They both can be difficult because most do not speak english. We will be very blessed if we can get a driver who speaks English. This is the toughest and hardest thing to adjust to because it seems no matter where we go we need to communicate. After the first week, I told Chris I had reached my breaking point and was ready to leave. Well, I think that is enough for now. I will write more on my second and third week soon. Things are getting a little better and I will write about that soon. We really miss everyone and hope everyone is well in your area!! I will try to post pictures when I can. Take care!!
